Free training for Surrey school staff: Thurs 10th October PM
Free online training for Surrey school staff to help with the identification and support of the young carers in their school.
Free training for Surrey’s schools
Our expert staff run free training sessions, via Zoom, for anyone working in a Surrey school who’d like to know more about supporting young carers.
These are short sessions, run at times to suit schools, and cover:
- young carer identification,
- best practice in support, and
- the help and opportunities offered to young people via our Surrey Young Carers team.
Angel Award: If you are working towards our Angel Award, completion of this training by a staff group will meet standard no. 4 of the 8 requirements.
Further information
Please note we also have a more general course about supporting unpaid carers, for all those working in Surrey, not just schools. The course is called ‘Because Carers Count’ and runs monthly. We can also provide tailored training on request, for example for GP Practice staff, or Academy Trusts.
If you’ve any queries about the course, or our training offer overall, please email [email protected]
